Volunteers Must Sign-up Online in Advance!
Thanks to a grant from the EPA, Community Greening has teamed up with the PBC Office of Resilience for a Tree Planting Campaign throughout the Glades region!
Our second Tree Planting event will be held onĀ Saturday, May 3rd at 10am at Glades Pioneer Park in Belle Glade, where we’ll be planting over 100 native shade trees throughout the park and we need YOUR help to get them in the ground!
CG Arborists and our trained Tree Technicians will be on hand to lead the group, and guide/assist volunteers. No experience needed, and all skill levels and physical capabilities welcomed. We encourage anyone to join us who is interested in getting their hands a little dirty, while helping a great cause.
Community Greening will provide all of the tools needed, have work gloves to borrow, as well as water and light snacks. We’ll even have a DJ on-site to keep things fun!
Please wear closed-toe shoes, and clothing that can get a little dirty. We also encourage you to wear a hat and sunscreen.
Families are welcome, all minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the entire duration.
Glades Pioneer Park is located at 866 SW 16th Street in Belle Glade.
Event will be cancelled in the event of a forecasted Excessive Heat Warning or heavy rains. An email will be sent to all volunteers as soon as possible in the event of these circumstances.
