Title: PROGRAM MANAGER

Job Category: Full-time, exempt

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, flex for weekend work up to 2 Saturdays a month

Starting Compensation: $68,000/year

About Us

Community Greening is an urban forestry nonprofit based in Palm Beach County that has planted more than 11,500 trees with 5,000 volunteers since 2016. Community Greening is a member of the Arbor Day Foundation’s Alliance for Community Trees, a group of community-based organizations dedicated to the planting and caring of trees. Programming includes: tree plantings at parks, schools, places of worship, residential properties, businesses, and right of ways; urban orchards; tree giveaways; and the Youth Tree Team.

Opportunity

The successful candidate will work with the leadership staff to develop, implement, execute, and evaluate Community Greening’s programming and projects. The Program Manager will provide direction and supervision to program staff.

Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Manage and develop programs and projects, currently including the Youth Tree Team, Workforce Development, and Community Outreach:
    • Create and manage program schedules
    • Oversee all program activities including participant recruitment, enrichment activities,training and development, YTT performance reviews, program evaluation
    • Lead community outreach efforts, including attendance at public meetings,presentations to external stakeholder groups
    • Manage programmatic grant and contract related tracking and reporting
    • Assist in setting goals for programs and tracking overall performance
    • Assist in developing budget for programs and projects and tracking expenditures
    • Supervise Youth Tree Team Staff Co-Leads
  2. Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in urban forestry, nonprofit management, business administration, public administration, or related discipline, or an equivalent amount of education and experience
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in program management
  3. Driving: Valid Florida Driver’s License with clean driving record
  4. Computer: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
