Volunteers Must Sign-up Online in Advance!

Community Greening, the Florida Forest Service, and PBC Parks have teamed up to plant 125 native shade trees at John Prince Park in Lake Worth Beach, on Saturday, Oct. 31st!

These trees will provide cooler temperatures and much needed shade for walkers and bikers using the trails, and we need YOUR help to get them in the ground!

Since it’ll be Halloween, we encouraging volunteers to wear their costumes for some added fun!

CG Arborists and our trained Tree Technicians will be on hand to lead the group, and guide/assist volunteers. No experience needed, and all skill levels and physical capabilities welcomed. We encourage anyone to join us who is interested in getting their hands a little dirty, while helping a great cause.

Community Greening will provide all of the tools needed, have work gloves to borrow, as well as water and light snacks. We’ll even have a DJ on-site to keep things fun!

Please wear closed-toe shoes, and clothing that can get a little dirty. We also encourage you to wear a hat and sunscreen.

Families are welcome, all minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the entire duration. Event begins at 9am, and estimated to finish at 11am.

John Prince Park is located is located at 2700 6th Ave S, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33461. Use the Park Entrance on Prince Drive located off of S. Congress Ave. Follow Prince Drive to the Smythe Pavilion where the planting will be located. There will be signage to help guide you.

Event will be cancelled in the event of a forecasted Excessive Heat Warning or major storm. An email will be sent to all volunteers as soon as possible in the event of these circumstances.
