Community Greening & the City of Delray Beach need your help as we add nearly 100 new street trees along Swinton Ave & Lucky Lane.
Saturday, Oct. 1st | Planting starts at 9am. Event concludes around 11-11:30am.
Please Read the Registration Instructions Carefully:
We will be planting at multiple locations along Swinton Ave. (all within 1/3 mile stretch). We are splitting the Registration Options into two groups so that volunteers don’t have to walk back and forth with shovels and planting supplies. Whichever location you sign-up for, is the location you need to go to at 9am.
1) Swinton & Reigle Ave. Location – Volunteers will meet at the corner of Swinton & Reigle Ave. at 9am.
2) Lucky Lane Location – Volunteers will meet at the corner of Lucky Lane & Swinton Ave. at 9am.
All participants must register online in advance – Sign-up Here!
Please wear closed-toed shoes, and clothing that can get a little dirty. We also encourage you to wear a hat & sunscreen.
Upon arrival to the Planting, we’ll get everyone checked in, go through a demonstration on proper planting techniques, and then volunteers will go off in groups to plant trees!
These trees will help to cool our streets, clean the air, and add beauty for local residents.
Community Greening will have all of the necessary tools, as well as gloves and water (though feel free to bring your own).
The planting will take place along a stretch of Swinton Ave. south of SW 10th St. Police will be blocking part of the road for the event. Park along the street at the location you signed up for, and follow signage to the CG check-in tents.
